4th Annual International Sensation Celebration:
"Use your Senses One Step at a Time"
A Sensory Awareness Event!
During National Sensory Awareness Month In cities worldwide
October 2012
ORGANIZERS: Go to our 2012 Organizer page to find tips and tools.

As we near the end of 2012 we will recap all of the events that were organized around the world in support of the SPD Foundation or as awareness events for National Sensory Awareness Month. Please see the bottom of this page for the recaps.
The Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation invites you to organize, support or attend a SENSATION CELEBRATION to raise awareness of sensory challenges and funds in support of SPD research, education and advocacy. Contact Communication Program Manager, Susanne Geiler for details or to volunteer.
Our SENSATION CELEBRATION truly embodies the dedication and triumph that families who are raising children with Sensory Processing Disorder find every day. These families, like the dedicated scientists and doctors who continue researching SPD, all began this journey "One Step At A Time". Now you can join these remarkable families and researchers in communities all over the world by participating in our annual international event!
This year we've teamed up with GivingFirst.org an online resource for Colorado-based non-profits like ours whose mission is to "improve quality of life by increasing community generosity and involvement." GivingFirst.org makes it very easy to collect donations for fundraising by allowing you to create your own customized, online fundraising page no matter where you live. You can find instructions for creating your own fundraising campaign on GivingFirst.org and more details on our 2012 Organizer page.
Organizers can plan a walk-a-thon, fun-run, community walk or any type of fundraising/awareness event they choose. Or, if you just don't have the time to organize a community event, then just set up your own personal fundraising page, gather pledges and go take a walk yourself, maybe inviting your family and friends to join you! All you need are your walking shoes and a desire to see research for Sensory Processing Disorder continue.
Organizers are encouraged to schedule their SENSATION CELEBRATIONS during National Sensory Awareness month in October but are free to hold their events any time during 2012 if a different month is more suitable in their area.
